Leader.

“Back to strong leader” he said as he explained what a man among men he was.

If he was the leader he said he was …

He would’ve acted in line with the words he spoke.

He would’ve read between the lines and provided me what I really needed.

He wouldn’t have given himself away to a stranger.

He would’ve come home after work instead of disappearing.

He.

You.

You would’ve. You didn’t.

You aren’t the leader you said you were. You lied when you said you’d love me and only me. You liked the way it felt to have a committed relationship but didn’t really know what that even meant. You never planned to love me deeply. You never trusted me enough to let your heart be mine.

If someone wants to be a leader, they have to learn to lead themselves first before they can lead others. To lead yourself you have to know what your direction is.

Figure out your direction for the sake of your kids.

If you want a wife, start acting like a husband.
